My mission as an educator is to (re-)introduce people to their inner artist and provide them with the tools to explore their creativity. For students, value is often placed on their ability to learn, memorize, and regurgitate information. What if students were encouraged to create something new?
I empower students to create methods to assess and modify their own work rather than looking outward to define its value. I encourage students to respond with curiosity to the world around them, centering an aesthetic education pedagogy and practice. I aim to foster an empathetic, confident, observant, and civically-minded community.

Steppenwolf for Young Adult's "What If?" Pilot Program at Prosser Career Academy invited students to delve into a variety of "What If?" questions and use these questions as a lens of discovery in their own communities, and lives. Through these explorations of "What If?" students devised an original performance based on "What If?" questions such as "What if the world were a better place?" "What if we all believed the same thing?" and "What if everyone saw me the way I see myself?" Students were challenged to draw rich connections between the many "What Ifs" and their own experiences.
